Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful. ~Norman Vincent Peale
We have been baking a lot these last couple of days. I don’t know if it is the change in the weather or the upcoming holidays that put you in to a baking mood. There is nothing better than pulling out a hot, mouth watering cherry pie. Its deliciousness oozing down the pan. (My mouth is salivating as I write this) There is a sense of accomplishment from baking. You take all of these ingredients and mix them together and with a little time and heat you get this delectable goodness. I myself feel that euphoria, so naturally I want my boys too feel it too. Here are a couple of tips:
- Let them put in the ingredients.
- Allow them to put in the flour, eggs, and ect.
- Allow them to Stir
- Let them stir the ingredients together
- Identify the change so they can see it come together
- Be excited and enthusiastic when it comes out of the oven
- Show them their accomplishment
- Remind them of how the ingredients turned in to this scrumptious masterpiece
- Last but not Least
