Commercial pilot · Workbook author

Nick Rae

I publish practical pilot-training workbooks and document the real economics of building flight time. The work is built around explaining decisions out loud, not memorizing an answer key.

Why the workbooks exist

My own training exposed the gap between recognizing a multiple-choice answer and explaining a safe decision to an instructor or examiner. The workbook series is designed for repetition, written reasoning, scenario practice, and the follow-up question: “Why?”

Professional background

I have led Car Plus as general manager since 2017, with responsibility for a team, forecasting, and the operating P&L. Before that I worked in dealership sales, finance, and account development. That background informs the operator discipline behind the products. It is not aircraft-sales, turbine, or flight-instruction experience, and I do not present it as such.

Flight Funded

Flight Funded is the public receipt: current flight hours, workbook units, royalties, and what those dollars could fund in the cockpit. Paper gains, speculative results, and unshipped projects do not count as revenue.

Current public proof through August 11, 2026: 143 full-catalog books, 136 aviation units, $1,163.13 USD + €62.18 EUR + A$9.49 in dashboard-estimated KDP royalties, with 14 August units processed through Aug 10, 398 KENP through Aug 11, and zero refunds in the verified month-to-date snapshot. Royalty figures are estimates, not settled payouts.
